New Zealand is a 12 hour flight from Los Angeles and is made up of 2 islands, the North Island and the South Island. Both islands are amazing, with the South Island being a bit more dramatic.

WHEN TO GO

New Zealand's climate is mild, and ranges from subtropical in the north to temperate in the south. No matter the season, the majority of main attractions are open year-round. Their seasons are opposite of ours and the most popular time to travel from the US is fall March – May, In autumn, New Zealand enjoys some of the most settled weather of the whole year. Soak up long, sunny days and golden leaves with hiking, cycling or kayaking. Temperatures range from 45 to 70 degrees

GETTING AROUND

It depends on how quickly you want to get from one place to another. There are numerous flights between the larger cities if you want to go fast. Many visitors rent cars (driving is on the left) or use buses, trains and water taxis available in certain areas.
