ALASKA

ALASKA IS HUGE!

Not only in size – it’s one fifth the size of the mainland United States, it has an abundance of nature, wildlife and activities to explore. I think it’s almost 2 distinct destinations, Central Alaska is the land that makes up Anchorage, Denali Park, Fairbanks all the way to Prudhoe Bay – and the Southeast region that encompasses the coastal towns and best visited by boat.

12 NIGHT ALASKA LAND AND SEA VACATION

Overview:

Most clients do a combination tour that includes a land stay and a cruise. We can create a trip for you, doing exactly what you want to do and see. There are a variety of hotels and lodges to choose from. When it comes to seeing Alaska from the coastline, you can pick from luxury cruise ships, small adventure ships  or a day cruise that sails into the glacier bay.

DESTINATION GUIDE
WHEN TO GO

Alaska’s tourist season runs from mid-May to mid-September. The days are long and nature is in full bloom. Alaska’s summers are slightly rainier than the rest of the US with May being a dry month. Temperatures vary by region, daytime highs average 60 – 80 degrees with the lows averaging 40 – 50 degrees.

GETTING AROUND

You can rent a car, take a train or join an escorted tour where they take you from place to place. If you want to cover a lot of ground, flights are plentiful and easy to take. Southeast Alaska is best seen from a cruise ship.

TESTIMONIALS

TESTIMONIAL FROM BONNIE K.

Anne Kulhanek is the best travel consultant anyone could have!

My husband and I have utilized Anne Kulhanek's travel guidance, information and knowledge for our travel needs for many years. Before going to her for our travel needs, we had pitfalls and errors that could have been avoided if we'd had Anne making our arrangements! There were things we weren't aware of on our own as well as lack of caring or knowledge on the part of the others who made our arrangements. Also, using the internet for travel – even though you've been to that vacation location before – does not make you aware of the changes (sometimes safety) that have taken place since you were there.

It's easy to tell why things were different with Anne! Her cheerful knowledgeable personality makes the whole experience enjoyable. Anne enthusiastically explains the information of the proposed trip that enables us to make the best decisions for what we like, enjoy, and want to include in our experience. Her knowledge of pricing very much assists in getting the most value – whether for airlines, hotels, tourist sites, and features that others don't know about.

Anne also streamlines the travel time with her background of extensive experience and knowledge of the travel industry. I always feel her organization and thorough preparation helps us get the most out of our vacations! She gives personal care of the highest quality – if new information that might assist us in some way comes along, she calls it to our attention even after our trip is booked.

I feel as though she's our personal advocate – looking for the best travel and vacation experience for us and doing everything in her power to deliver it – before and during the time it takes place. That's why we continue to go to Anne for our travel needs!
